a few crackers here - but how much post-processing is too much....well thats up to "your" eye of course - for me there's are few that've gone way over the top, but that's because I love the honesty of the natural catch....but all together, a good show. Much thanks.

I love my nikon v1 for the film-like grain. however without stabilisation, it's sucky to use with manual lenses. and 50mm gives en equivalent of 135mm , which is too long. have a chance to get the EM5 for a very low price. shall be using manual lenses with it. your photos inspires me to take more photos. I must say, it's difficult to take street photos that are truly keepers. that photo of girl holding transparent umbrella is amazing.

Hey, great shots. Two comments.

1. I am considering the Panasonic 14mm f/2.5 but its relative aperture is quite small which makes it not ideal for low light photography. Yet, I was delighted to see that you have taken quite a few night shots using the lens. Do you have any comments about how well in general the lens performs in low light?

2. I noticed that you were able to get many portrait shots of passersby. How were you able to manage this, without them getting annoyed at the potential infringement of their privacy. I've never had the nerve to take photos, even in large crowds where the target is not obvious.

I use TAV mode. For whatever reason they disabled auto iso in Manual. Ridiculous, I know.

How did you manage to get Auto ISO to work in M mode? Refuses to select for me and I can't seem to find a way around it.

By the way, I love your work. I'd never have the balls to do those Bruce Gilden style portraits of people haha.

One in the same.

I use the Fuji EF-X20, doesn't recycle very fast, and not a lot of power, but it is small.

I use it off the camera with Yongnou wireless triggers.

I have a GR and am wondering what you mean by S-AF? Is it Single AF or AF-S or something different?
Which model Fuji flash and is it in the hot shoe or off camera?

I also bought a VoigtLander viewfinder, but I almost always use flash so it does not get much use.

Yes Marco I'm using 1 m snap, with the back button if I need to focus closer. I am not cropping too much on these, if at all. I am using manual mode with auto ISO, and almost always shoot at F-16. This gives me wide enough depth of field. The reason I don't manually set the distant closer than a meter, is that any distance closer than a meter creates a very shallow depth of field even at F-16.

Most of the pictures in this review were using the onboard flash, now I use a small Fuji flash which gives me more power and more options, especially when shooting in the sun.

I am trying the Fuji out again. They seem to have made many improvements to the camera, It is closer to what I imagine it should've been the first time around. There is still some niggling details that's really interfere with shooting experience. Maybe I will write a small blog post about it. Thanks for the kind words.

Taken with the Fuji X100T? Will you give Fuji another chance in spite of the bad experience with the X100?
By the way: the photo is very very nice. And your photos would look great even if you took them with the cheapest point-and-shoot.

Sweet - are you using the 1m snap on the ricoh or a manual distance that is shorter? I find the 1m a bit too long for close-ups.
Or are you cropping in quite a lot?
Are you shooting these with aperture priority? I notice you stay around the F16 area. Do you just vary the ISO then depending on time of day? I tend to shoot shutter priority, but I like the blur on these.
Are these with the on camera flash or an external?

Like you say the dust is a problem with the GR - my lens is now stuck on closed when starting up first and needs a wasted shot to open properly. Not a major problem, but annoying.

I've been using these digital GRs since the GR2 came out. I do indeed love them but it's really disappointing that still the new models have the issue of the dust getting into the lens. Last year I bought the latest GR and already have some dust spots. I'm currently living in Costa Rica and it is extremely expensive to send it for cleaning... a big shame on Ricoh to haven't solved the dust-inside-the-lens issue yet in one of the nicest cameras ever created.

tried a few digital cameras, couldn’t deal with the shutter lag. Loving the size of this camera, is the shutter
lag/delay a pain in the nuts or a minor inconvenience ?
